Skiing at the Pitztaler Glacier
(3.440 m) and at Rifflsee ski area!
Two ski areas with one lift ticket, and that is on a sea level between 1680m up to 3440m! The Glacier provides 21 km of slopes and the Rifflsee 20km. The Pitztal is proud to be well known as a family ski area. One example is the 6 seater chair lift “Sunnaalm” at the Rifflsee ski area, which is the most modern and safest one of his kind.
Slopes in all varieties, a perfect carving terrain, attractive race slopes for National Teams and practices areas for beginners and bambini’s are honouring the Pitztaler Glacier!
There are 3 different cross country slopes in Pitztal. The first one starts just across our house down in the valley. The second one is located around the lake Rifflsee on a sea level of 2200m with a length of 3 km. You can get there easily by the gondola. The highest track is up on the Glacier, with a distance of 5 km.

The ski areas are only a few minutes away from our house, you have the possibility of free public transport which is leaving every 20 min. from Plangeroß. Also nearby is the 20.000m² kids area of the ski school in Mandarfen, which offers the parent’s incredible skiing days. Kids under 10 years can get a free ski pass if at least one of the parents will buy one.
The winter walking path starts straight in front of our house.
The ski school is located next to the gondola of the ski areas. Snow shoe walking, sledging evenings, torch trips, ski demonstrations, horse sledging and much more will be found in a distance of 2 km.
